Automation that never leaves the building.

Aetheric designs, builds, and hands over automation for organisations whose data cannot go anywhere else. Agents, document and process pipelines, and the integration into existing systems. Client hardware, client models, client teams running it.

01The problem

Patient records. Case files. Trading positions. Source code.

Until recently the options were a public API and the exposure that comes with it, or no AI at all.

So the work those records represent stayed manual. Not because it is hard to automate, but because the automation would have had to happen somewhere else.

Aetheric exists to build the third.

Stated objection

On-premise AI is too expensive.

Aetheric’s position

Cost per token is an engineering number, not a fixed fact of the deployment. Once the hardware is bought, every point of utilisation recovered falls to the bottom line.

Stated objection

The internal team to run it does not exist.

Aetheric’s position

Client engineers build alongside Aetheric and own the system at handover. Documentation and handover form part of every engagement, not a separate invoice.

02What gets automated

The model is one component. Most of the work is the chain around it.

A process is automated when it runs without being carried. That means the connectors into the systems of record, the orchestration that retries and recovers, the point where a person still decides, and the record of what happened. The model sits inside that chain rather than in place of it.

Aetheric builds the whole chain, on the client’s own infrastructure, and hands it over.

Agents

Software that reads the internal systems, decides, and acts, with every step attributable afterwards.

  • Case handling and triage
  • Drafting and review
  • Investigation and lookup
  • Tool access under client identity

Pipelines

Deterministic control flow over documents and records, with the model used where judgement is needed and nowhere else.

  • Extraction and classification
  • Routing and prioritisation
  • Reconciliation and matching
  • Exception handling

Integration

The part that decides whether any of it actually runs. Connectors, scheduling, queues, retries, and the write path back into the system of record.

  • Connectors to systems of record
  • Orchestration and scheduling
  • Queues, retries, idempotency
  • Access control preserved end to end

Feasibility review

Which processes justify automation behind the firewall, what hardware they require, and what they cost to run.

Concludes with a costed deployment plan and no obligation to continue.

Common starting point
Fixed scope

Pilot build

One process automated end to end behind the client firewall. Agents, pipelines, integration, evaluation, audit trail.

Client engineers work alongside Aetheric and own the system at handover.

Monthly, cancellable

Optimisation retainer

Serving, batching, quantisation, model routing. Pipeline throughput alongside it.

Cost per token driven down and reported. Priced against the saving it produces.

04Cost per token

Cost per token is an engineering problem, not a procurement one.

Automation only pays if the inference behind it is cheap to run.

On-premise AI is written off as expensive because the first deployment gets benchmarked against a cloud invoice. Once the hardware is bought, every point of utilisation recovered falls to the bottom line.

Aetheric treats cost per token as the number to drive down, and reports it.

05How Aetheric works
i

Senior practitioners only. The person who scopes an engagement is the person who builds it.

ii

No hardware resale, no vendor margin. Where a public API is the correct answer for a workload, that is the advice given.

iii

Fixed scope and fixed fee.

iv

Handover and documentation form part of every engagement, not a separate invoice.

06Sequence
Stage one

Review

Processes assessed, hardware sized, cost modelled. Output is a costed plan.

Stage two

Pilot

One process automated end to end behind the client firewall, with evaluation and audit in place.

Stage three

Scale

Further processes automated on proven infrastructure. Cost per token measured and reported throughout.

Each stage stands on its own, and the decision to continue sits with the client.

Some data cannot leave the building.
